For all I know this was the 2nd ascent. Wanted so very much to lead that last long aid pitch in the dark as Jay did in 81. It was a sweat moment. This time we brought bivy gear and had a comfortable night on the ridge. In 81 we had nothing and shivered our way thru the long cold night.
