After the Huntington adventure, we hopped over to the Kahilta to rendezvous with Tad Pfeiffer for a quick trip up the West Butt. We were pretty fit by then and did the whole thing RT in ten days. I only wish Tad had been able to make it to the top with us. After a really windy day at the 17,000ft camp where Mario joined us, we got a small weather window that served up a perfect day. Leaving high camp at midnight (perhaps a bit early) we had the summit to ourselves. The hordes weren't far behind but we didn't begin to see lots of people until Denali Pass. Next day was not so nice.
