A fun route during a prolonged spell of fine weather in August of 1988. We seemed to have taken the wrong line to the hut (the 3.5 couloir) though the rockfall was minimal and we emerged unscathed. We had the Colgan Hut and the peak to ourselves. Only bad thing about this face is that it is too short. We descended the West Ridge until we found a suitable spot to begin rapping a short gully at the far west end of the North Face. We did at least reach the valley by the recommended Perren route .
