Rating this enjoyable ridge climb is difficult as the short but fine section of rock climbing off the upper col is not to be taken lightly - particularly on the way down. Secor's guide doesn't even seem to be talking about the same route. There is a gully to the left of the fine section I climbed that appears to be alot easier and may indeed by the way he is suggesting. My suggestion is that you climb the wonderful face to the right. Whether this alternate way is 3+ or 4th class is debatable. The one thing that is for sure is it's no fall territory. The climbing however is really nice and one wishes it went on for a whole lot longer before emerging onto the easy summit ridge walk. I descended the same way, which was probably the crux of the route.
