Plan was to go do Thunder by way of Kearsarge / Forester passes and to see Picket Creek to the west of the GWD. After a very productive 1st day, I camped in the last group of stunted trees before the JMT begins it's final rise to Forester Pass. That night I got violently sick with abdominal cramps all night long. Completely dehydrated and exhausted by morning. A bit confused as to what was happening so took 2 casual days to walk back to Onion Valley.
