There are a few select locations in the Whites that have a real alpine flavor. Places like Huntington and Boott Spur are well known. Also included here are climbs in King Ravine and Lincoln Brook. This album is an exception to the rule. That is, it's a collection of mountaineering adventures since 1996 which more or less coincides with the end of my backcountry skiing days. Most of these climbs come with the added bonus of a great big dollup of solitude. That for me is one reason why I find these locations so attractive.
